This is Greg's account of his injury and how his 1.4 ATA mild hyperbaric chamber contributed to his recovery.
"On April 1, 2021 I was involved in a serious bicycle accident where I broke eight ribs, my collarbone, collapsed my lung and sustained a Grade 2 Diffuse Axonal Injury - a form of serious traumatic brain injury that sheared nerves in 4 separate areas of my brain and produced brain bleeding.
I was in the ICU for 5 days, with no memory of the accident, and also no memories of the subsequent 16 days.
In the following months I had constant appointments with my neurologist, speech and cognitive therapists, and physical therapist. I was left with various sensory and information processing disabilities that made a return to normal life seem impossible.
This is when a good friend (Jason V.) suggested I look into Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as an additional form of recovery treatment because of its hyper oxygenation properties that have proven extremely helpful in the healing of various forms of traumatic brain injury.
I owe a very large part of my recovery to HBOT and it’s regenerative healing power."
